I am a software resilience expert who works with organizations to modernize their security programs. Best known as lead author on the book Security Chaos Engineering: Sustaining Resilience in Software and Systems and a pioneer of the security chaos discipline, I help organizations of all sizes around the world improve their security strategy to deliver real value and support growth through a sociotechnological transformation of their systems — their people, processes, tech, and architecture.

I am a Senior Principal at Fastly, working on the future of cybersecurity, and a former founder with a successful exit. I am also a member of ACM Queue's Editorial Board. In a previous life, I was a B2B product leader and investment banker and now advise high-growth startups on their product strategy. I have published several research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals and have been featured for my expertise in the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, BBC News, ComputerWorld, TechCrunch, and other top global technology publications. I also speak at leading technology conferences and private events around the world.
